Accessibility statement
Plainly aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA for the public calculator experience and the standard commercial embed.
What is supported
- Keyboard operation for calculator inputs, segmented controls and disclosures
- Visible focus states and labels for every form control
- Semantic headings, tables, fieldsets and live result announcements
- Responsive layouts down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scrolling
- Reduced-motion preferences and browser text resizing
- Text alternatives for visual pay-allocation information
How it is tested
Release checks combine automated accessibility scans, programmatic label and ARIA checks, keyboard review, responsive browser testing and calculation-specific interaction scenarios. Automated checks cannot prove complete accessibility, so manual review remains part of the release process.
Known limitations
Plainly has not yet completed an independent third-party accessibility audit with disabled participants. Customer branding can also introduce colour-contrast problems; commercial themes are therefore checked before release rather than accepting unrestricted colours.
